Homecoming

So I got asked to homecoming! YAY! haha :) I love how school dances are such a big deal here. It makes me happy. So I got asked by 2 different guys and obviously I am going with the guy, Charlie, who asked me first but here are the stories:

1. So there is this boy Drake who was apparently going to ask me and the other people in my group didn't want him to be in the group so they were going up to their other friends and  were like "hey wanna ask becca to homecoming?". So one guy named Charlie was like yeah wanna go to homecoming with me? And I totally thought he was joking. So we all went to cross country practice. After practice, my friend Jeff told us to go to the football game and sit in a certain spot. We knew something was up but we did what he told us to. Then we kinda got the idea and they weren't doing anything and I had to leave so we got up to leave. We were just joking so we went back and then Charlie came over and gave me a note that said "Hi my name is Charlz. You seem cool and I would like to get to know you better. P.S. will you go to homecoming with me?" haha we were all laughing so hard! But then the next day he asked me over the announcements and after school when he gave me a basket with Dr. Pepper, pink starbursts, skittles, and chocolate and a note that said will you go to homecoming with me? it was cute!
2. Drake already knew that I got asked but apparently he decided to ask me anyways! On Monday after school, my friends and I left school and went somewhere and while we were gone we get a call from Jeff and he was like get back to the school! Drake did something to Becca's car! So we were like crap... and we sped back to the school! And yep.. he had done something to my car! He put huge boulders and rocks inside my car and behind all the wheels so I couldn't get out and he left a note in my car saying "It would rock if you went to homecoming with me". I can't say yes to him because I am saying yes to Charlie but yeah.

Those are my stories. Pretty exciting.

Running

I am a runner now. Surprising, I know. haha but I am doing cross country and I am having a BLAST! We had our second race today. At the last race, I didn't really push myself but today I definitely did and it paid off! I am really excited for the rest of the season and to just get better! Love running!! :)

First Day!

It has been such a busy summer so it has been a while since I have blogged! But I decided I definitely needed to blog about my first day at a brand new school. And my first day of SENIOR YEAR!! So I am now going to Wasatch High School. Its such a nice school. It is pretty new and its just really simple. I like it alot! And it's indoor.. I have always wanted to go to an indoor school! haha :) So I got to school pretty early today because I needed to talk to my counselor about my schedule. Luckily I found my friend Whitney because I would have had no idea where to go. So I found Whitney and then we went to the assembly together. How cool is that? They have a school assembly on the first day and they just welcome everyone and tell them what to do. It's awesome!! Oh and it is so strange being at this new school because there are only 1500 kids and so being in the assembly was weird because I felt like there were so few kids compared to Torrey Pines!
Anyways... So after the assembly, Whitney and I went back to the counselors. I found mine so I talked to him. This year I am taking mostly UVU classes that I receive college and high school credit for. SO awesome!! But those classes didn't even start today so I pretty much sat around for a couple hours with nothing to do. Then it was lunch and I found some friends and just hung out with them. Then I went to my first actual class which was foundation of art 2. I can tell it is going to be a really fun class. The kids are all so funny and fun. And everyone has been so nice! I love it! But then after that class I went to my UVU math 1050 class and I have friends in that class too which is cool!
There are so many things that I have come to love about small towns in Utah.
1. In class, you will always know someone from church. No matter what.
2. You know most of the kids have seminary as a class. COOL
3. Everyone is so welcoming and nice.
4. You seriously know like everyone in your class.
5. When my art teacher did attendance, she asked like half the kids if they were related to so and so and of course they were like oh that is my cousin! or that is my aunt! so so so great
I am really excited about this year. I have a feeling that I am going to have a super fun Senior Year and i am so happy :) I really miss San Diego, but I have come to learn that change is good. I know I am meant to be here for a reason. And I am going to enjoy it as much as I can! This is my last year in high school and I am not going to let it waste. I am going to make the best of it!! :)

The Big Move

So my parents had been hypothetically talking about moving to Utah. But I never knew it would actually happen, let alone happen so fast! For about a month before we moved we were pretty sure we were moving, however not till August. So I was like okay I will have time to say goodbye to my friends and I will get to enjoy my last summer in San Diego. But that all changed when I got the text from my mom the Tuesday of Girls Camp that it was official and that we would be leaving that upcoming Saturday. I was devastated. The girls that were at girls camp know that I just kind of fell apart. I cried for the next 3 days of camp. I was so overwhelmed because it finally hit me that that week was my last week with those girls in my stake that I have come to love so much! And I just couldn't believe Girls Camp was over for me (it was the highlight of ever summer that I went) and that I would be leaving my friends and starting over so soon. So we got back from girls camp with some of our house packed up. Thursday night my best friend Caitlin had a going away party for me at her house which was lots of fun but just so sad as well! Then on Friday we woke up at 6:30 and started packing up the whole house! So many people came to help with was wonderful because we got to spend time together and it helped the tedious process become easier. Then the next day we were off. I had so many emotions running through my mind.. I just didn't know what to do! I was so sad to be leaving San Diego but excited for a new change. Sunday came around and we finally made it to our rental home that we are in right now.

It has definitely been a HUGE change moving to Utah. We are in Heber City which is very small, but not as small as I thought it would be. However its just so different from San Diego. The people are different that's for sure. We have to drive about 15 minutes to get to Park City which is some civilization but its about 30 minutes to Orem, which we go to alot because they have everything. Its a cool change though because a part of me has always wanted to live in a small town. My cousins live in Mesquite, Nevada and that is a really small town and I absolutely LOVED visiting them because it was so small! We will see how much I love it when the winter comes around.... But I did meet some friends! On the 4th of July we went to a friends family breakfast and I met this lady there who said she had a daughter who was going to be a Junior! So her daughter Anne called me that week and invited me to hang out with her and some of her friends! I had so much fun! Everyone was so nice to me and I felt so comfortable around them. Every person reminded me of all my friends back home.

So its been a little over a week and its still hard adjusting, but it is getting better! :) But anyone who is reading this, please send me letters or text me or call me or anything!! I would love to hear from everyone! :)

Summer come faster please!

So Aly told me today that I haven't updated in a while so here I am! I don't have anything too exciting to post about though.. so i will just rant about my life!
Hmm.. what has been going on lately? Well there is only 2 weeks left until SUMMER! This year has gone by so incredibly fast and I just can't believe it. I am okay with it though because I am so so so excited for it to finally be summer! Beach...sun....friends...family...Utah...EFY...Girls Camp... Ahhhh! It is going to be wonderful :) School is dragging on right now. I am honestly not doing anything in any of my classes. We are watching movies and doing random lecture notes in history, nothing in costume design, okay we are doing stuff in math (the only class I have a real final in), in english we just go to class and read, and then in APES we are doing nothing. Its crazy! Why can't we just turn in all our projects and take the tests this week and be done with it? Who thought of this dumb scheduling?

My summer is going to start out amazing though! My cousin Traci is getting married on the 16th which will be my last day of school because I am skipping the last day! Whoooo! We are going to Sea World with all my family that will be in town! And then I am just hanging out till Girls Camp! Which I am so so excited for. So overall I am just so stoked for summer and I can't wait! Just gotta make it through these next 2 weeks.. WISH ME LUCK! :)

Photography

These are some of the pictures that I took at the beach yesterday. I have a passion for photography. Most don't know this because I keep it to myself but there is just something so moving to me about photography and what people can do with a camera. It is my dream some day to be a successful photographer. Maybe travel the world and take pictures!

Birthday Mum

This is from a while ago but for our birthdays, we have started a new tradition in our Young Women's Laurel class. It is called a Mum. They are flowers with strings attached and each string has something about you that a laurel has written about you. My young women's president used to live in Texas and they would all get these for Prom. So we get them in Young Women's now and this is the one I got for my birthday. They are so cool and I love that we have done them this year. I love writing stuff on them for the other girls and they are just so fun!
