Quotes

I am a quote girl. Here are some good ones!

"Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful."

"If you judge people, you don't have time to love them." -Mother Theresa

"Someday everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason."

"Sometimes we put up walls. Not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to knock them down."

"Be SO happy that when others look at you they become happy too."

There are so many more that I love but these are the quotes for today!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Thanksgiving! I truly love this holiday. All day I have been thinking about the things that I am grateful for and so many come to mind. But right now in my life, there are a few that stand out.

1. Where I live. I moved at the beginning of the summer and I am grateful that I moved to Heber, UT as opposed to any other place. It is so dang beautiful here and it has been so much fun. I love looking out the window and seeing the snow covered mountains and the beautiful landscape.

2. My friends. I am so blessed to have the most amazing friends. EVER. Caitlin Lang, Aly Carter, Anneliese Carter, Rachel Potter, Sarah Jenson, Macey Bleazard, Abby Snow, Anne Dansie, and Whitney Wilcox. Some of these girls I have known for a while, and some only a couple months. But I am so blessed to have them in my life. They have all helped me so much and I have so much fun with them. This past week has been the best because on Sunday, Aly slept over and I got to spend Monday with her! Then I got to see Caitlin and Anneliese on Tuesday in Provo! You all should be jealous because I have the best friends ever and they are always there for me and they are all such great examples to me and I love them dearly.

3. Education. I have been applying to college lately and even though it is super super stressful, its been good and I am really excited to further my education. It is not always the best thing in the world, but we are supposed to attain as much knowledge in this life as we can and I am grateful that I go to such a great school!

4. Seminary. I have 8th period seminary this year and some people have asked me if its hard not to skip it and my answer is no. I absolutely LOVE seminary and I am so grateful for it in my life. I have an amazing teacher this year and I have learned so much. Its been really fun and I know thats where I am supposed to be at that time of the day. It really helps.

I am also so grateful for my parents and my family and all that they do for me... even though they constantly tease and make fun of me. :) haha Also I am grateful for the gospel, food, my house, clothing, money, EVERYTHING that I have in this life. I am a blessed girl!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Preference 2011

So last weekend was Preference! And it was so much fun! I went with my friend Braedon Cook.

For our day date, we did a video scavenger hunt. We went all around Heber doing crazy and stupid things. For example, we had to shimmy leap off of a fire hidrant(i have no idea how to spell that), decorate a cake at my house, hug a stranger, help someone cross the street, buy french fries and spell your dates name out then eat them as fast as you can, etc. It was way fun. Then we went back to Abby's house and we watched all the videos and ate cake.

Then we all went and got ready, then went to Kaden's house to take a couple pictures. We went to Cafe Galleria for dinner and it was sooo yummy! So after dinner, we went to the dance early so we could take pictures. However, we got kicked out when we got there because we were too early. So we decided to go buy Kisstixx... so funny! Then we took pictures on the bridge and it was freaking cold! But then we finally went to the dance, took pictures, then partied!! I felt like I was at a church dance and they played SO many slow songs. But we decided to leave early and go back to Abby's house to watch a movie. We watch Footloose and then I took Braedon home and went home. It was a really fun night! :)

Here are some pictures:

~ Shaylee, Julia, and Melina all came to help us get ready at Whitney's house!! Shaylee did my makeup and Abby did my hair! :)

Quote of the Day

When something bad happens you have 3 choices. You can either let it define you. Let it destroy you. Or you can let it strengthen you.
-I stole this from my good friend Camille and it has really helped me today!

Homecoming

So I got asked to homecoming! YAY! haha :) I love how school dances are such a big deal here. It makes me happy. So I got asked by 2 different guys and obviously I am going with the guy, Charlie, who asked me first but here are the stories:

1. So there is this boy Drake who was apparently going to ask me and the other people in my group didn't want him to be in the group so they were going up to their other friends and  were like "hey wanna ask becca to homecoming?". So one guy named Charlie was like yeah wanna go to homecoming with me? And I totally thought he was joking. So we all went to cross country practice. After practice, my friend Jeff told us to go to the football game and sit in a certain spot. We knew something was up but we did what he told us to. Then we kinda got the idea and they weren't doing anything and I had to leave so we got up to leave. We were just joking so we went back and then Charlie came over and gave me a note that said "Hi my name is Charlz. You seem cool and I would like to get to know you better. P.S. will you go to homecoming with me?" haha we were all laughing so hard! But then the next day he asked me over the announcements and after school when he gave me a basket with Dr. Pepper, pink starbursts, skittles, and chocolate and a note that said will you go to homecoming with me? it was cute!
2. Drake already knew that I got asked but apparently he decided to ask me anyways! On Monday after school, my friends and I left school and went somewhere and while we were gone we get a call from Jeff and he was like get back to the school! Drake did something to Becca's car! So we were like crap... and we sped back to the school! And yep.. he had done something to my car! He put huge boulders and rocks inside my car and behind all the wheels so I couldn't get out and he left a note in my car saying "It would rock if you went to homecoming with me". I can't say yes to him because I am saying yes to Charlie but yeah.

Those are my stories. Pretty exciting.

Running

I am a runner now. Surprising, I know. haha but I am doing cross country and I am having a BLAST! We had our second race today. At the last race, I didn't really push myself but today I definitely did and it paid off! I am really excited for the rest of the season and to just get better! Love running!! :)
